Drug induced liver disease (DILD) potentially can damage liver tissues, is a serious human health problems. This observational study aims to determine the use of DILD in hospitalized patients with liver disease (LD) and its impact on changes in liver function in one of Bandung Hospital. Data were collected retrospectively in the period 2010-2011 from patient`s and total population were 289 patients, including 153 patients inclusion criteria, 136 patients exclusion criteria, a total of 153 patients as research subjects, total of 123 patients (80.4%) used DILD and 30 patients (19.6%) did not use it. The most DILD widely used were acetaminophen (22%), ranitidine (21,6%), and pantoprazole (17,4%). There were 3 patients (2.4%) got special treatment and 120 patients (97.6%) did not get it. Most patients that consumed drug induced liver disease decreased liver function parameters. DILD usage rates were still high in patients with LD and most were given without special treatment.
