Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dedak padi yang telah difermentasi dengan ragi (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) terhadap pertumbuhan biomassa Daphnia sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Eksperimental Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (Kontrol) 125 mg/L dedak tanpa fermentasi, perlakuan B (25 mg/L dedak hasil fermentasi), perlakuan C (50 mg/L dedak hasil fermentasi), perlakuan D (75 mg/L dedak hasil fermentasi), perlakuan E (100 mg/L dedak hasil fermentasi), dan perlakuan F (125 mg/L dedak hasil fermentasi). Daphnia sp. dikultur selama 22 hari dalam wadah toples plastik dengan volume 1 Liter. Parameter yang diamati adalah pengujian proksimat dedak hasil fermentasi, pertumbuhan populasi, pertumbuhan biomassa, dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses fermentasi oleh ragi Saccharomyces cerevisiae dapat meningkatkan nilai nutrisi dalam dedak seperti protein sebesar 4,78 % dan karbohidrat sebesar 95,71 %, serta menurunkan nilai nutrisi lipid sebesar 80,07 % dan serat kasar sebesar 17,43 %. Pemberian dedak hasil fermentasi sebesar 125 mg/L menghasilkan puncak populasi tertinggi pada hari ke-12 sebanyak 177 individu dan biomassa tertinggi dicapai pada hari ke-14 sebesar 63,1 mg.

The purpose of this research was determine the effect of rice bran fermented with yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) for biomass growth of Daphnia sp.The method of research used experimental method with Completely Randomized Design with six treatments and three replications, A (Control) 125 mg/L rice bran without fermentation, B (25 mg/L fermented rice bran), C (50 mg/L fermented rice bran), D (75 mg/L fermented rice bran), E (100 mg/L fermented rice bran), and F (125 mg/L fermented rice bran). Daphnia sp. was cultured for 22 days in 1 Liter plastic jar container. Parameters observed were proximate test for fermented rice bran, population growth, biomass growth, and water quality. The result of the research showed that fermentation with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Yeast can increase nutrition value of rice bran like protein as much as 4,78 % and carbohydrate as much as 95,71 %, and also reduce nutrition value of lipid as much as 80,07 % and crude fiber as much as 17,43 %. Fermented rice bran as much as 125 mg/L gave the highest population of Daphnia sp. as much as 177 unit occuring on day 12 and also the highest biomass of Daphnia sp. as much as 63,1 mg occuring on day 14.
