Main reason of this study is the complex phenomenon of cocoa industry in Indonesia which has problems along its supply chain from upstream to downstream which effect to the competitive advantage of impact to performance. The latest theory of operation management and hot topic to be discussed is concept of supply chain management, strategy and environmental uncertainty. There is a limited research on supply chain, strategy and environment of uncertainty with this combination of variable and specific case in cocoa industry of make this study will give a high contribution and value advantage for cocoa industry. This paper aims to introduce the study of Supply Chain Management Practices (SCMP), Supply Chain Strategy (SCS) and environmental uncertainty (EU) and linked to competitive advantage and performance in Indonesian Cacao Industry Manufacturing and main purpose of the study was to build and to validate an instrument to measure the effect of SCM practices, strategy and environment uncertainty of competitive advantage and impact to business performance perception among Indonesian cacao companies. Data will be collected through a survey by using a questionnaire with the five-Likert scales of developed. The sample for this survey consisted of 50 big national and international companies in Indonesia cocoa and analysis will use the SPSS method, SEM PLS and combined with Mix Method Research (MMR) analysis to test the hypothesis.
