Limbah ikan tuna berpotensi sebagai bahan pakan sumber protein, namun mudah rusak dan busuk sehingga perlu dilakukan pengolahan. Pengolahan limbah tersebut adalah melalui pembuatan silase ikan, baik secara kimiawi maupun biologis. Untuk menguji kualitas produk pengolahan, dilakukan percobaan pada ayam broiler melalui pengukuran terhadap nilai kecernaan. Percobaan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas tiga perlakuan ransum, yaitu limbah ikan tuna tanpa pengolahan (R1), limbah ikan tuna produk pengolahan kimiawi (R2) dan limbah ikan tuna produk pengolahan biologis (R3), setiap perlakuan diulang 10 kali. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistika, perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) meningkatkan nilai kecernaan (bahan kering, protein kasar dan bahan organik). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa limbah ikan tuna produk pengolahan biologis (R3) memiliki nilai kecernaan bahan kering, protein kasar dan bahan organik yang paling tinggi, yaitu berturut-turut sebesar 74,53 %; 70,32 %; dan 73,37 % .

Tuna waste is potential for feed protein but it is easily damaged, so that it is necessary to be processed. Processing of the waste can be conducted through making of fish silage, both chemically as well as biologically. To test quality product of processing, the research was conducted on broiler through measurement of digestibility value. The research used experimental method with Completely Randomized Design consist of three treatments of feed, by not processing (R1), product of chemical processing (R2), and product of biological processing (R3) of tuna waste, which each treatment is ten replicates. The data were analysed, by variance analysis followed by Duncan’s double distance test. The statistical analysis showed that treatments caused hight significant (P<0.01) increase on digestibility value of dry matter, crude protein and organic matter of the products. The research concluded that the biological processing product of tuna waste have highest on digestibility value of dry matter, crude protein and organic matter, were 74.53%, and 70.32%, 73.37% respectively.
