Dinas Pelayanan Pajak (Disyanjak) Bandung is one of the government agencies in Bandung with very high job demands, especially for staff in Pajak Pendaftaran and Pajak Penetapan department that execute the management of local taxes directly. Despite facing high work demands, the staff can still enjoy and proud of his job, and willing to make an effort also in order to give an optimal performance for Disyanjak. This condition indicate the existence of work engagement among the staff, thus researcher decide to conduct a study about work engagement among the staff of Pajak Pendaftaran and Pajak penetapan department in Disyanjak Bandung. This study was conducted on 46 staff in Pajak Pendaftaran department and 38 staff in Pajak Penetapan department. This study used a non-experimental quantitative research design by using a descriptive study method. The data were obtained through work engagement questionnaire which adapted from the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES)-17 (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003). The results showed that level of work engagement among staff in Pajak Pendaftaran and Pajak Penetapan department were very high and high, and it dominated with dedication, vigor, and absorption, respectively. This shown that all of the staff feel engaged, which means they could have reach their goals, so that can give impact for the successful of Disyanjak Bandung.
