We have studied the preparation of hybrid organic-inorganic polymers and the fabrication of distributed feed-back grating using those hybrid polymers. The polymer used in this work has been modified by incorporating organic dye lasers. The gratings were fabricated by interference laser technique by employing Lloyd’s mirror technique. The image Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) shows a corrugated structure. Although the depth of grating is very shallow compared to the thickness of the layer, which acts as the wave-guiding layer, the photo-pumped lasing action has been observed in those structures. Without the grating structure, only Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) was observed
