Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kombinasi Pupuk P dan Kompos terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Teh (Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze) Klon Gambung 7. Percobaan dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Pusat Penelitian Teh dan Kina Gambung.Ketinggian tempat 1.200 m di atas permukaan laut dengan jenis tanah Andisols. Percobaan dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga Oktober 2007. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok dengan sebelas perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah sebagai berikut :A = 100% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36, tanpa kompos, B = 75% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 25 g kompos / polibag, C = 75% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 50 g kompos /polibag, D = 75% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 75 gkompos /polibag, E = 50% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 25 g kompos / polibag, F = 50% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 50 g kompos / polibag, G = 50% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 75 g kompos / polibag, H = 25% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 25 g kompos / polibag, I = 25% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 50 g kompos / polibag, J = 25% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 75 g kompos / polibag, K = 100% kompos. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kombinasi pupuk P dan kompos memberikan perbedaan yang nyata terhadap jumlah daun tanaman teh umur 12 msp dan bobot kering tanaman. Perlakuan tidak memberikan perbedaan yang nyata pada tinggi tunas, diamater batang dan nisbah pupus akar. Pertumbuhan terbaik diperoleh dari perlakuan kombinasi 75% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP-36 dan 50 g kompos /polibag ; dan 75% dosis rekomendasi pupuk SP- 36 dan 75 g kompos /polibag.
The objective of the experiment is to know the effect of Combination of Phosphate fertilizer’s and compost on the growth of tea (Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze) Gambung 7 Clon . The experiment was carried out in Tea and Cinchona Research Center Gambung. The altitude 1.200 m above sea level, the soil types is Andisols. The experment was began from May 007 until October 2007. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Block Design, consisted of 11 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment were as follow : A = 100% of P recommendation dosage without compost, B = 75% of P recommendation dosage and 25 g compost / polybag, C = 75% of P recommendation dosage and 50 g compost / polybag, D = 75% of P recommendation dosage and 75 g compost / polybag, E = 50% of P recommendation dosage and 25 g compost / polybag, F = 50% of P recommendation dosage and 50 g compost / polybag, G = 50% of P recommendation dosage and 75 g compost / polybag, H = 25% of P recommendation dosage and 25 g compost / polybag, I = 25% of P recommendation dosage and 50 g compost / polybag, J = 25% of P recommendation dosage and 75 g compost / polybag, K = 100% compost. The result of the experiment showed that the treatments gave significant effect on leaves number on 12 weeks after treatment and plants dry weight. However the treatment gave no significant effect on bud height and diameter of stem. Treatment which gave the best result were the combinations of 75% of P recommendation dosage and 50 g compost/polybag and 75% of P recommendation dosage and 75 g compost / polybag.
