Abstrak

Uji Toksisitas Akut Dekok Daun Sonchus Arvensis L

Telah dilakukan penelitian uji toksisitas akut pada tikus mengenai sediaan dekok daun Sonchus arvensis L., yang secara tradisional telah dimanfaatkan sebagai obat alternatif untuk mengobati berbagai macam penyakit.
Takaran dekok sebagai berikut : 10,0; 50,0; 200,0; 500,0; 1000,0; 2000,0; 4000,0 dan 5000 mg/kg BB yang dibuat suspensi dengan pembawa 25 ml gom arab 2%. Pengamatan yang dilakukan adalah profil farmakolgi dari tikus betina dan tikus jantan dan bobot badan tikus setiap hari selama 14 hari.
Hasilnya tikus betina dan tikus jantan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok uji tidak ada perbedaan profil farmakologi. Bobot badan tikus percobaan betina dan jantan, secara umum baik kelompok kontrol maupun kelompok uji mengalami kenaikan. Dekok Sonchus arvensis L., pada pemakaian tunggal dengan takaran maksimal 5g/kg BB tidak menimbulkan efek toksik.
The acute toxicity test of the decoction of Sonchus arvensis L. leaves has been done, in traditional it used as alternative medicine for various deceases.
The concentrations are : 10.0; 50.0; 200.0; 500.0; 1000.0; 2000.0; 4000.0 and 5000 mg/kg BW as 25 ml suspension in 2% Arabic gum. The observation are: the pharmacology profiles of female and male rats and the body weight in 14 days.
The result in male and female Wistar rats between the control and the test groups did not have difference pharmacology profile. Generally the bodyweight of male and female Wistar rats are normal, the bodyweight of the control and the test groups are increase. Dekok Sonchus arvensis L., in maximum used 5g/kg BW in single used did not have toxic effect.
