Studi Fasies Formasi Tanjung Pada Prospek X, Cekungan Barito, Kalimantan Selatan

Secara administratif daerah penelitian terletak pada Daerah Banjar Pengaron, Kecamatan Salambabaris, Kabupaten Tapin, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Berdasarkan geologi regional Satyana dan Silitonga (1994) daerah ini merupakan bagian dari Cekungan Barito. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengamatan singkapan batuan meliputi struktur dan tekstur sedimen dengan metode meassure section yang kemudian akan dibuat penampang kolom stratigrafi. Dari penampang kolom stratigrafi diinterpretasi karakteristik fasies, suksesi dan asosiasi fasies, mekanisme sedimentasi dan interpretasi lingkungan pengendapan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis fasies, pada daerah penelitian terdapat 17 litofasies yaitu: coal seam, massive claystone, lenticular lamination sandstone, massive very fine sandstone, massive fine sandstone, wavy lamination fine sandstone, wavy parallel lamination medium – fine sandstone, parallel lamination very fine sandstone, parallel lamination fine sandstone, cross lamination fine sandstone, massive medium sandstone, flaser medium – fine sandstone, wavy lamination medium sandstone, calcareous sandstone, massive coarse sandstone, graded bedding granule – coarse sandstone, dan massive granule sandstone. Terdapat 5 fasies pengendapan pada daerah penelitian, yaitu: In Channel, overbank, distributary channel, mouthbar, dan bay. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, Formasi Tanjung diinterpretasikan terbentuk pada lingkungan pengendapan Fluvial – Delta.

Administratively, research area lies within Banjar Pengaron and it’s vicinity area, Salambabaris District, Tapin Subprovince, South Kalimantan. Based on Satyana and Silitonga (1994) regional geology, research area is part of the barito basin. Methods that are used in this research are observing outcrop such as sedimentary texture and structure with meassure section method that will be processed to be stratigraphic log. From this log will be interpreted fasies characteristic, facies succession and association, sedimentation mekanism and depositional environment interpretation. Based on facies analysis, there ara 17 lithofacies in research area, such as: coal seam, massive claystone, lenticular lamination sandstone, massive very fine sandstone, massive fine sandstone, wavy lamination fine sandstone, wavy parallel lamination medium – fine sandstone, parallel lamination very fine sandstone, parallel lamination fine sandstone, cross lamination fine sandstone, massive medium sandstone, flaser medium – fine sandstone, wavy lamination medium sandstone, calcareous sandstone, massive coarse sandstone, graded bedding granule – coarse sandstone, and massive granule sandstone. There are 5 facies deposition, such as: in channel, overbank, distributary channel, mouthbar, and bay. From these interpretation, Tanjung Formation’s depositional environment is in fluvial – delta.
