Daerah penelitian terletak di Kecamatan Cihara, Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten. Secara geografi terletak pada koordinat 106° 07′ 24.38″ BT – 106° 09′ 2.21″ BT dan 06° 49′ 35.66″ LS – 06° 47′ 57.92″ LS. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan pemetaan alterasi. Berdasarkan analisis Secara stratigrafi daerah penelitian terdiri atas batuan terobosan granodiorit. Berdasarkan asosiasi mineral ubahan daerah penelitian terbagi menjadi dua zona, yaitu: zona serisit – klorit dan zona klorit – epidot. Hasil pengamatan mineragrafi terdapat mineral bijih pirit dan kalkopirit secara menyebar (disseminated) dan penggantian (replacement). Daerah penelitian digolongkan dalam endapan sulfida tinggi.
The research area is in Cihara, Lebak, Banten. Geographically, the research area is located at 106° 07′ 24.38″ – 106° 09′ 2.21″ E and 06° 49′ 35.66″ – 06° 47′ 57.92″ S. This research was done by the alteration mapping. Based on the analysis, a several samples are chosen for petrographic analysis, mineragraphy and PIMA. Based on regional stratigraphic, the research area consists of Granodiorite Intrution. Alteration mineral assemblage the alteration zone can be divided to two zones which are Serisit-Chlorite zone and Chlorite-Epidote zone. Based on mineragraphy observation, there are found ore minerals which are pyrite and chalcopyrite. These minerals formed as disseminated and replacement. The research area is classified to the high sulfidation deposit.
