One objective of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) is to combat HIV transmission. In Indonesia, the number of HIV cases has increased from year to year. The HIV was transmitted through a vertical infection from HIV positive mother to her infant (90%) either during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding, so that morbidity and mortality of the mothers and their infants were increasing. The aim of the study is to measure the attitudes of pregnant women towards HIV screening, as well as determine the effect of health education on attitudes of HIV screening of pregnant women at the Cipacing village of Jatinangor Community Health Center. Design of the study was quasi experiment by pre and post test design.The study was conducted at the Cipacing village of Jatinangor Community Health Center. The population in this study was all pregnant women in the Village District Cipacing Jatinangor numbered 73 people. The samples in this study were 30 pregnant women with non-probability using accidental sampling. The data analysis was using univariate and bivariate (dependent ttest). The attitude (instrument has tested the validity and reliability) was measured before and after the intervention. The result showed that the average attitude before intervention was 8.65 increased to 50.15. Conclusion: The study found the significant difference of attitude state before and after intervention (p = 0,00). The researcher recommended for health services institution especially maternity department can use the health education technique regarding HIV screening as a standard operational procedure of antenatal management among client with pregnant women.
