Introduction: Students are the future generation which the large community amount between 40-50 %, they are prone to various diseases such as diarrhea, respiratory infections, intestinal worms, and caries. Less support of good environmental conditions and worst healthy hygienic behavior among students suspected to be the cause of a high rate of infection in the students. School age could potentially become agents of change to promote healthy hygienic behavior in the school environment, family, and community. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of PHBS education on the knowledge and skills of elementary school students. Methodology: A Quasi-experimental research designs with pre-test and post-test. The samples in this study were 144 students devided in 30 students from Jatinangor Elementry School, 64 students from Cipacing Elementry School, and 50 students from Cikuda Elementry School. Knowledge and skills were assessed by questionnaires. Analysis of the data was using univariate and bivariate (dependent t test). Result: The results showed that before intervention the mean score of knowledge was 0.45, the mean score of hand washing with soap skill was 51.56, and the mean score of healthy tooth brush skill was 57.50, after the educational intervention given the mean score of knowledge was 0.75, the mean score of hand washing with soap skill was 81.74, and the mean score of healthy tooth brush skill was 80,90. Conclusion: The study found a significant difference in the knowledge and skills before and after the intervention period (p = 0:00).
