Abstrak

Pengaruh Dukungan Sosial Keluarga Terhadap Kebahagiaan (HAPPINESS) Pada Lansia Di Kota Malang (Studi Integratif Berdasarkan Perspektif Hedonia dan Eudaimonia)

Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengungkap sisi positif dari kehidupan lansia, dimana kebahagiaan (happiness) diharapkan dapat menjadi hasil akhir dari pencapaian kehidupan lansia. Dibutuhkan faktor penyebab untuk meraih kebahagiaan lansia yakni melalui dukungan sosial keluarga. Secara konsep teori dukungan sosial keluarga merupakan dukungan yang dirasakan lansia dari keluarga yang mencakup emotional support, instrumental support, informational support, dan appraisal support. Sedangkan kebahagiaan merupakan proses integratif dimana lansia mempersepsi kebahagiaannya berdasarkan perspektif hedonia dan eudaimonia. Subjek pada penelitian adalah lansia berusia 60-75 tahun yang ada di Kota Malang sejumlah 278 lansia, teknik sampling menggunakan multistage sampling. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap kebahagiaan (happiness). Proses analisa menggunakan model struktural atau structural equation modeling (SEM). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kuat dari dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap kebahagiaan (happiness) pada lansia di Kota Malang.

This study is aimed at revealing the positive sides of the elderly’s life where happiness is expected to be the objective. To achieve it, social support from the family should become a concern as family is considered to be the people whom the elderly are close to. Based on the concept, the family support to the elderly theoretically includes of emotional support, instrumental support, informational support and appraisal support. And the happiness which involves integrative process from the hedonic and eudemonia perspectives. This study that was conducted in Malang City applied multistage sampling and involved 278 elderly in the age of 60 – 75 years old as the subjects. The main objective of the research is to explain the influences of the social support of the family toward the happiness of the elderly in Malang City. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) supported with Lisrel was applied to obtain the findings. Finally, the result for elderly in Malang it can be concluded that the findings of the research show that the the elderly’s happiness is influenced by family support.
