PERAN BRIMOB POLRI DALAM PENGAMANAN PEMILU 2014: KENDALA DAN TANTANGAN

As part of the POLRI, the Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob hereafter) is actively involved in implementing any policy made by the POLRI, including to secure the 2014 election. Brimob then have to confirm that its support is in order to become a professional and independent organization of the main goals and objectives of Homeland Security (Kamdagri) enabling the frame of the Republic of Indonesia (Republic of Indonesia), because of that as a paramilitary unit, Brimob relative has a cruising range wider than other police units. This paper argues that the Brimob role in securing the 2014 election influenced by four things: the POLRI headquarters policy, readiness internally Brimob, the level of coordination, and how much excess escalation election of 2014. This paper also argued that obstacles and challenges that are likely a part of response to internal and external reality that can be reduced in intensity by reference to the level of success of the Brimob to carry out roles and functions to perform articulation of the role and function optimally.
