This report is a result from three types of research that had been conducted in 2014: (1) Media Mapping; (2) Qualitative Study; and (3) Content Analysis. The aim of this research is to prove and identify best practices for communication channel developed by ASK partners at the time, including health strategy using e/m (electronic/mobile) technology, to (1) guide program program; (2) improve the scale of program achievement; and (3) raise the new strategy. The results of these studies showed that young people’s level of trust to the ASK partners is basically already quite high. This made them trust and utilize information conveyed in the media targeted to young people. However, the current efforts of the partners to enhance or maintain the trust still need to be improved. These partners should continuously strive to deliver relevant information in a consistent, interactive, and diverse manner, and also to be connected with the mainstream media which are popular among young people. This is expected to increase the number of followers or friends. Increased number of followers or friends is also needed to improve the ASK partners’ social media account dynamic. Consequently, each partner should have sufficient human resources for managing their media consistently. Message content or information in media developed by ASK partner has not been able to meet all needs of young people since they do not only need information to increase their knowledge but also daily tips. There are different needs among low- and high-risk young people that should be accommodated bythe partners. Low risk young people tend to need general information, while high risk young people need more in-depth information with related pictures. However, both groups expressed the same negative feelings towards contents that are not within the expertise of ASK partners, such as political contents that were sometimes delivered through the partner’s account. There are several media format characteristics that make the media is considered as attractive by young people. Messages conveyed in the media should be brief, simple, and should use informal language. Simple and attractive title tends to provoke young people to continue reading the information. It is a pity that photos uploaded are sometimes against what the young people wish. Other features that need to be added include an option to share information easily and a forum for discussion and broadening the social network.
