Marine debris is a big concern for nowadays all over the world especially in Indonesia. There is linkage between marine debris and oceanographic condition. The phenomenon of the west monsoon that blows in November-March, causing debris that float freely in the water dragged and accumulated on the shore of west Bali (e.g. Kuta Beach), with a total per season about 5.400-8.400 m3. This debris come from outside the region and from within areas of Bali itself, such as watersheds, located on the western part of Bali. The condition is affected by wind, currents, and waves as the oceanographic factors. Common types of marine debris in Kuta Beach are plastic, paper, rubber, cloth, and timber. Marine debris which dominates in Kuta Beach are non-organic debris such as plastic which is the form of the household (26.6%) and organic debris such as wood (73.4%) that come from the island of Java and Bali itself. From those result, it indicates that the debris are from Java Island. This debris very affect the tourism and decrease economic value of Kuta Beach itself. It is expected to know the pattern of distribution of debris which can be used as reference to the mitigation for the government and the tourism sector around Bali Kuta Beach.
