Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran academic self-efficacy terhadap stress coping style mahasiswa selama mengerjakan skripsi. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 93 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Padjadjaran yang sedang menyusun skripsi. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan metode korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keyakinan mahasiswa terhadap academic self-efficacy akan memengaruhi peningkatan frekuensi penggunaan active coping, planning, seeking social support for instrumental reasons, dan positive reinterpretation and growth serta akan mengurangi frekuensi penggunaan restraint coping, focusing on and venting of emotions, serta mental disengagement selama mengerjakan skripsi.

This study aims to determine the role of academic self-efficacy on students’ stress coping style during working on his undergraduate thesis. Study was conducted on 93 students of Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran who was writing his undergraduate thesis. The design of the research is quantitative non-experimental design by using correlational method. The results this study indicate that students’ academic self-efficacy will influence the increasing use of active coping, planning, seeking social support for instrumental reasons, as well as positive reinterpretation and growth and will reduce the frequency of restraint coping, focusing on and venting of emotions, and also mental disengagement during working on his undergraduate thesis.
