BACKGROUND : Cold and cough medicines are sold over-the-counter and can be obtained easily in pharmacies, drug stores or even in convenient stores., Since those medicines are accessible to get, clearly drug information attached in the leaflets is very important to prevent the number of adverse events. OBJECTIVE : This study was to evaluate the availability and the content of essential drug information on leaflets for over-the-counter cold and cough medicines. METHODS : This study used an adaption of checklist list according to Phueanpinit P. et al study that has 16 areas covering the content normally expected on package inserts. , Leaflets for all NSAIDs available for purchase from 3 pharmacies, 3 drug stores and 3 convenient store in Bandung city, one of largest population city in Indonesia, were evaluated based on criterion checklist and number of leaflets assessed.
