Chisocheton macrophyllus, Dysobinin, dysobinol, limonoid, Meliaceae
The Chisocheton genus, a member of the Meliaceae family, contains approximately 50 species that are mainly distributed in India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Chisocheton macrophyllus is a higher plant and found growing in the rain forest in northern part of Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. In this communication, we describe the isolation and structure elucidation of a new limonoid dysobinol (1), with known limonoid, dysobinin (2) from the seed of the Chisocheton macrophyllus (Meliaceae). Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods including 1D- ( 1H, 13C and DEPT) and 2D-NMR(1H-1H COSY, HMQC and HMBC) experiments as well as HR-ESI-TOFMS analysis.
