Multipurpose solution (MPS) is microbial disinfection solution of contact lens to which the use of the contact lens has became one of microbial cornea infection cause. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of antimicrobial contact lens of multipurpose solution against clinical isolated bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus as well as to determine the most effective contact time with the contact time variations are 1, 3, 6, and 24 hours based on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14729 guidelines. Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s test from the esult it can be concluded that the multipurpose solutions on the market are effective against clinical isolated bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus with effective contact time of 6 hours against both bacteria.
