Kualitas lulusan bidan dalam memberikan asuhan bayi baru lahir cenderung menurun dan belum sesuai harapan masyarakat, perlu perbaikan kualitas dimulai dari proses pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran kebidanan saat ini sebagian besar diberikan secara terpisah antara satu mata kuliah dengan mata kuliah lain sehingga mahasiswa bersikap pasif dan tidak dapat menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat yang holistik. Diperlukan model pembelajaran terintegrasi dengan mengintegrasikan kebutuhan masyarakat dan menyesuaikan dimensi fisiologis, psikologis, agama, budaya dengan kompetensi asuhan bayi baru lahir. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran penerapan model pembelajaran asuhan bayi baru lahir terintegrasi terhadap motivasi dan kompetensi mahasiswa serta kepuasan pasien pada praktik klinik kebidanan. Desain penelitian intervensi dengan kuasi eksperimental one group pre- post- test design. Subjek penelitian 37 mahasiswa semester IV prodi D-III kebidanan UNS Surakarta. Subjek penelitian diberikan pre-test untuk penilaian awal dan post-test setelah diberikan intervensi berupa pemberian materi model pembelajaran asuhan bayi baru lahir terintegrasi selama 4 minggu.Tes dilakukan untuk menilai motivasi dan kompetensi mahasiswa serta efek asuhan yang diberikan oleh mahasiswa terhadap kepuasan pasien yang bayinya mendapat asuhan bayi baru lahir dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dilakukan uji statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon (median skor, rentang), untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel menggunakan uji spearman rho. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan motivasi dan kompetensi mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran dengan median skor motivasi (52,0 vs 76,0, p<0,05). Jumlah mahasiswa yang kompeten sebelum dan sesudah praktik klinik kebidanan (0 vs18). Efek peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa berpengaruh 21,4% terhadap kepuasan pasien yang bayinya mendapat asuhan oleh mahasiswa, 78,6 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat efek penerapan model pembelajaran asuhan bayi baru lahir terintegrasi terhadap motivasi dan kompetensi mahasiswa serta kepuasan pasien pada praktik klinik kebidanan namun perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjut untuk mengetahui faktor lain yang memengaruhi kepuasan pasien. The quality of student of midwives in providing care for newborn is currently declining and not accordance with the expectations of society, it needs improvement quality in the educational process includes learning model that has a very big influence on the quality of graduates. The learning process of midwives today mostly separate one subjects with another subjects so that students are passive and cannot answer a holistic needs of the community. Thus it is required an integrated learning model by integrating community needs and adjusting the dimensions of physiological, psychologic, religious aspect, and cultural with competence in newborn care. It is expected to increase students motivation and competence and get along with people expectation in midwiferyclinical practice.The research aimed to analyze the effect of integrated newborn baby care learning model in student’s motivation and competencies and patient’s satisfaction with midwife clinic.There is an intervention research with a quasi-experimental design using one group pre-post-test design. The subjects are 37 students were in fourth semester of Midwifery DIII Study Program of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta.. Research on the subjects is given a pretest to find initial score and posttest after the intervention from the learning model implementation of integrated newborn baby care for four weeks. This test is to assess motivation and competency students as well as the effects of student’s care on the satisfaction of patients whose newborn babies were cared by the students, using a questionnaire. The data were collected descriptively and analyzed with a test to compare two sets of scores, named Wilcoxon test (median score, range); meanwhile, to find the relationships among variables using Spearman’s rho test. The statistical tests show that there was an improvement in student’s motivation and competency after the implementation of the learning model with a median score of motivation (52.0 vs76.0,p<0.05) before and after the implementation, respectively and the number of students who became competent after clinical practice midwifery(0 vs18).Finding out whether the results show there was no meaningful correlation between motivation and competency (p0.138).Effect of learning model application in integrated newborn baby care against student’s competence influential is 21.4% to patient’s satisfaction; other 78.6% depends on other factors. It can be concluded that there is the effect of learning model application in integrated newborn baby care against student’s motivation and competence in clinical practice midwifery and further research is needed to be determined by other factors that influence satisfaction of patients receiving services by students.
