The problems of street children occur almost throughout the big cities of Indonesia. The problem of street children is a direct result of the need that can not be fulfilled, such as education, protection, compassion, clothing and food. The main factors driving the emergence of the phenomenon of street children is poverty, which took to the streets has become an alternative to get money to make ends meet. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the role played by the mosque in Depok City Bus Station to fulfilled the basic needs of street children in the bus station. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive approach. The data obtained through interviews, and observation. The results of this study were analyzed using the theory of action. The results show that the mosque in Depok city terminal can be a potential place in empowering street children. Some of the basic needs of street children such as education, food, love, and counseling, can be performed by the Mosque in the Depok city bus station. Mosques in Depok city bus station has been able to become a successful informal institutions empower street children and avoid the street children in crime.
