Interaksi Jarak Tanam Dan Jenis Pupuk Kandang Terhadap Komponen Hasil Dan Kadar Tepung Sorghum (Sorghum Bicolor [Linn.] Moench) Pada Inseptisol Di Jatinangor MH 2004

The purpose of the experiment was to study the interaction between spacing and kind of manure on the growth and yield of sorghum grown in Inceptisol soil. The experiment was conducted from March to July 2004 at the experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture Padjadjaran University Jatinangor, 754 meters above sea level. The experimental design used was randomized block design with factorial patterns consisting of two factors and four replications. The first factor was spacing, consisting of two levels 75 cm x 25 cm and 50 cm x 30 cm. The second factor was the kind of manure. The result of the experiment showed that there was no interaction between spacing and kind of manure on all parameters. The spacing did not have any significant effect on growth and yield, except on yield per plot Spacing at 50 cm x 30 cm (2.58 kg or 4.30 ton/ha) produced higheryield per plot than spacing 75 cm x 25 cm (2.1 kg or 3.50 ton/ha). Application of chicken manure, cow manure and sheep manure increased growth of plants shown by the plant height, leaf area index and dry weight of root Chicken manure and sheep manure increased the yield of plants based on panicle weight, weight of grain per panicle, weight of 1000 grain and yield per plot.
