Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendapatkan tingkat penggunaan tepung limbah udang Windu (Penaeaus monodon) produk pengolahaan kimiawi dalam ransum ayam broiler terhadap performans dan income over feed and chick cost . Metoda penelitian yang digunakan adalah metoda percobaan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan lima ulangan yang menggunakan 100 ekor anak ayam broiler umur satu hari. Pakan perlakuan yang digunakan adalah dengan ditambah tepung limbah udang windu produk pengolahan kimiawi 0, 5%, 10% dan 15%. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Uji Sidik Ragam dan perbedaan antar perlakuan dilakukan dengan uji Turkey. Peubah yang diukur adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan income over feed and chick cost. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan tepung limbah udang windu produk kimiawi dalam ransum memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P> 0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Income over feed and chick cost pada perlakuan ransum mengandung 15% tepung limbah udang windu produk kimiawi merupakan nilai yang tertinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung limbah udang windu produk kimiawi sampai tingkat 15% dapat direspon dengan baik terhadap performan broiler dan income over feed and chick cost
The research was conducted to find out the effect and optimal percentage of adding tiger prawn (Penaeus monodon) waste product of chemically processed in the ration on performance and income over feed and chick cost of the broiler. Method of this research was experimentally design which 100 day old chickens in the 4 X 5 Completely Randomized Design. There was four level of the adding kimiawi processed tiger prawn waste meal on ration (R0 = 0, R1 = 5%, R2 = 10% and R3 = 15%). The data was statistically analized by using Analize of Variance and the difference of treatment analized by Turkey test. Variables measured were feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion and income over feed and chick cost. The result showed that adding kimiawi processed tiger prawn waste meal on ration non significantly different among treatments (P>0.05) on feed intake, body weight and feed conversion. The adding on kimiawi processed tiger prawn waste meal to 15% had the highest of income over feed and chick cost. The indicated of the research showed that adding kimiawi processed tiger prawn waste meal up to 15% has good respons on broiler performance and income over feed and chick cost
