Abstrak

Potensi Jamur Beauveria Bassiana Balls. (Vuill.) Dalam Mengendalikan Spodoptera Litura F. Pada Tanaman Jarak Pagar (Jatropha Curcas L.)

Spodoptera litura is a potensial pest wich attack leaf of Jatropha curcas. The Entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin is a biological control agent of insect pests which is broad spectrum and potential to control Spodoptera litura. In this experiment, the effectiveness of this fungus to control the mortality larva of Spodoptera litura larvae on Jatropha curcas. The experiment was carried out in the Phytopatology Laboratory and Greenhouse of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University from March 2007 – April 2007. The experiment was arranged in the Randomized Block Design with 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were spore suspension of B. bassiana at 5,15 x 102 spore/ml, 5,15 x 104 spores/ml, 5,15 x 106 spores/ml, 5,15 x 108 spores/ml, and 5,15 x 1010 spores/ml, Cypermethrin 1,2 ml/L, and a control. The results of this experiment showed that the application of B. bassiana at 1010 spores/ml caused the highest mortality of the Spodoptera litura larvae (92,5 %).
