Abstrak

Kelimpahan Polen Dan Spora Endapan Channel Delta Mahakam

Dua jenis channel yang terdapat di wilayah delta adalah Distributary channel dantidal channel. Keduanya mengendalikan pasokan sedimen pembentuk delta. Channel hanya ditumbuhi oleh vegetasi air. Channel mendapat masukan polen dan spore dari vegetasi yang tumbuh disekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kelimpahan polen dan spora yang diendapkan dalam channel agar dapat digunakan sebagai petunjuk lingkungan pengendapan dan petunjuk asal sedimen. Rata-rata kelimpahan polen dan spora endapan distributary channel sebesar 47,73 butir termasuk dalam kategori miskin. Rata-rata polen dan spore endapan tidal channel sebesar 66,85 butir tiap sampel termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Kelimpahan polen endapan tidal channel secara signifikanleblh tinggi daripada kelimpahan polen endapan distributary channel, sedangkan kelimpahan spore pakis tidak berbeda nyata dlantara kedua channel tersebut.

In the delta area there aretwo type of channelsnamely distributary channel and tidal channel. Both controlthe supply of sedimentforming thedelta. Channel is an open areaof vegetation. Channel justovergrovvn by plant water, but channel gets pollen and spore from the vegetation growing arround it. The aim of research is to know abundance of pollen and spore are deposted in the channetto be usedas a guldedeposition environment and study provenance. The avarage pollen and spores in the sediment distributary channelat 47.73 grain per sampleincluded poor category and average pollen and spores in the tidal channel at 66.85 grain per sampleincluded in themoderately rich category. The abundance of pollen in the deposit of tidal channel is higher than deposit of distributary channel, while the abundance of fern sporeswere not significantly differentbetween the two channel.
