Abstrak

Pengembangan (Modifikasi) Teori Modal Sosial Dan Aplikasinya Yang Berbasis Masyarakat Petani Peternak (Studi Kasus Pendekatan Sosiologis Pada Kelompok Dan Organisasi Usaha Tani Ternak Sapi Perah Di Kecamatan Pangalengan Kabupaten Bandung) Development (Modification) Theory Of Social Capital And Community-based Applications The Peasant Farmers (Sociological Approach Case Study On The Organization And Farm-dairy Cattle In The Pangalengan District Of Bandung Regency).

The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of modification and the degree of bias application of theory or the concept of social capital in community-based farmer-rancher. Methods of research carried out with a case study with qualitative approach. The concept of the substance under review is according to the concept of social capital theory and the understanding of the initiators and the implementation of the previous reviewer’s concept of social capital in farmers-ranchers. The results showed: 1. The concept of social capital has a cultural dimension (norms, values attitudes, beliefs, honesty), structural (roles and rules, networks and interpersonal relationships; relationships horizontally and vertically) and the dimensions of relational patterns (cooperation in solving common problems; to know each other, mutual recognition; mutual understanding; mutual sympathy). 2. Reality of social capital on a group of farmers (vegetable) degradation: the loss of unity, honesty, cooperation, social networking and mutual sympathy; What emerged individualistic behavior. Groups of farmers are still strong social capital. At the farmers’ cooperative organizations still play a role of social capital managers in the services sector. At the dairy farm cooperative organization of social capital is quite strong. Factors that led to the weakness of social capital relates to both external factors related to the perpetrators of the business activity of private interests and internal factors.
