The orthopaedic devices mostly deal with biomaterials aspects. Biomaterials scientist are concerned with the physical and chemical properties of materials and their suitability for a particular device. They are concerned how these properties are altered by the biological environment and how the materials may affect the body. The purpose of this paper is to discuss selected biomaterials for orthopaedics field.
